Great news! New and improved IT Helpdesk system launched 

As part of the activity to create our new STARK UK ways of working, we’ve improved the system we use to log IT incidents and requests.  

Whether you want to raise a new IT incident or request, view an existing ticket, open a chat with the team or view knowledge articles visit our Self-Serve portal.  

If you need support, you can access the IT Helpdesk team and the Self-Serve Portal via the new intranet site or by clicking the new icon on your desktop (see image below). 

IMPORTANT: Before contacting the IT helpdesk team to log issues through the intranet, you will need to do two things: 

  1. Enrol for a STARK UK ID. You will need this to access the online support. Please click here for instructions  and click ‘Enrolling your STARK Build email.’ 
  2. Set up ‘Multifactor Authentication’ (MFA). You will need to use MFA to validate your access the first time you log in and for validation from time to time. To set up MFA, use this handy guide. 

Chatting online with the IT Helpdesk team will now be accessed from within the new system, things do look slightly different, but rest assured our IT Helpdesk colleagues on the other end of the chat are there to support you.  

Note you will still be able to contact the IT Helpdesk team via phone or email – simply call 01484 439400 or email [email protected] 

If you experience any difficulties or questions about enrolling or completing the MFA, don’t worry. You just need to send an email to: [email protected], including your SGID, job title, phone number, brand and the nature of your query, and the team will support you.
