Sabrina’s Story

Sabrina Passley, STARK UK’s new Head of Sustainability, has been a part of the STARK UK family for more than 15 years, with management experience spanning building distribution and innovation through to specialist brands.

I started my journey as a Sales Consultant back in 2007 with CTD (Ceramic Tile Distribution) part of building distribution and after a few years, I went from Showroom Manager and then to Branch Manager.

In 2013, I went onto manage the flagship Innovation Centre, fostering collaboration among colleagues, customers, and industry partners. The centre was a space where visitors could explore new product innovations and experience first-hand how a better build environment could improve people’s comfort and daily lives.

Most recently, I worked as the Customer Reporting Team Manager, within JPS, looking after our MBS and Contracts Division sales teams, focusing in on customer requests for information, and tenders where sustainability was a headlining topic.

My new role is focused around promoting and ensuring the direction, alignment, and implementation of STARK UK’s Sustainability initiatives across all operations and making sure they are aligned with the Group Sustainability framework. As for how that fits into the new Trust in Better strategy, my role will support the delivery of better branches with our Sustainability Led Range & Ambassadors initiatives, as well as branch of the future where we aim to use sustainable solutions.

Good leader listens and inspires others to drive change.  The best advice I have been given was, believe you can and you’re halfway there.

My priorities for 2024 are to work in collaboration with our brilliant teams to continue to make steps towards a more sustainable future by:

  • Championing the development and implementation of Sustainability training throughout the organisation.
  • Supporting our small and medium customers on their sustainability journeys.
  • Reducing the environmental impact in our branches.
